We serve simple, authentic Bengali dishes. Our cooks are inspired by the tradition and passion of centuries-old home-cooking. In that vein, meals are served on terracotta plates, bowls and banana leafs.
Menus are decided upon each morning, with one meal typically consisting of Basmati rice, two vegetarian, one fish, and one meat dishes. Lunch is typically served between 12:30 and 1:00 PM and dinner is served between 8:30 and 9:30 PM. ‘Gunjon’, our homestay restaurant, surrounded by perennial nature, serves by per order only to our residing guests. As mentioned, each order is a set traditional Bengali menu and would cost either INR 400 for veg or 600 p/plate for non-vegetarian dishes. One has the option of having food elsewhere.
We provide a complimentary breakfast either of milk-cereal, luchi-aalurdom, toast-omelette, and seasonal fruits or a combination of them each day of your stay along with tea and coffee. There is a small kitchenette in your room with small sachets of tea, sugar, milk and coffee that you can use whenever you feel like.
Also, a small selection of snack items like biscuits/chips/chanachur/nuts/fruit juice are available for purchase.
We generally do not offer any room service as the food has a long way to travel from our kitchen. Also, being a jungle HOME-STAY resort we are extra cautious while maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in our property. In the case of older adults and people with chronic disabilities of all ages, we have a flexible support system and our charges are 30% extra on food, snacks and cold drinks. Please note : we don’t serve alcohol anywhere in the property.
